How Many Calories Does CrossFit REALLY Burn?


CrossFit is a fitness regime developed by Greg Glassman over several decades. Glassman, the founder and CEO of CrossFit, was the first person in history to define fitness in a sensible, measurable manner: increased work capacity over broad time and modal domains. He then created a program specifically designed to improve fitness and health.

CrossFit is not a specialized fitness program but an intentional attempt to optimize physical competence in each of the ten recognized fitness domains.

When scientists at Kennesaw State University studied Cindy,they found that total body movements could burn 261 calories in just 20 minutes.

Set the timer on your watch or phone for 20 minutes. In that sequence, make five pull ups, 10 pushups, and 15 squats. It is one set , do as many times as you can.


Use an overhand grip to hang from a pullup bar with your arms straight. Pull your chest to the bar. Pause, and then return to the starting position.


Assume a pushup position. With your elbows tucked, lower your chest until it’s just a few inches off the floor. Pause, and push yourself back up.


Stand with your feet set slightly beyond shoulder width. Now push your hips back and lower your body as far as possible. Stand back up.
